TRUFFLES ~
All the chocolate bases are covered here!  There’s something for the dark, milk and white-chocolate lovers alike. Need something to round out dinner with a small, sweet offering? Want to impress the lady-friend? Or it’s 3 o’clock on a Tuesday, and dang it, you deserve it?  These’ll save the day.

Truffle #1: spicy dark chocolate truffles with ginger

At first you might think “Spicy? These aren’t very sp…oh hello there, hot stuff.”

Truffle #2: milk chocolate with cardamom & coconut

This one is smooth. It’s like the Barry White of truffles. Aaaaw, yeah.

Truffle #3: white chocolate with toffee bits and walnut

Even die-hard dark chocolate lovers have given this one the thumbs-up.

COOKIES & SQUARES ~
These lovelies are a nice size – about two bites apiece (or one bite, but I’m not judging). You know when you make the ‘a-okay’ sign? That circle that you make with thumb and forefinger will give you a rough idea of size.

Lemon-lime squares

You can’t beat the citrus-butter combo of these zingy little numbers. Pucker up!

Lavender shortbread

One bite and suddenly you’re picnicking next to a shimmering field of lavender, hand in hand with Guillaume (Or Clotilde. Or perhaps a robust Merlot.). Can be made gluten-free.

Alfajores

A South American confection – dulce de leche and coconut sandwiched between soft almond cookies. Why are they heart-shaped? Because you will LOVE them.

Gingerbread cookies

Soft gingerbread paired with cream cheese icing and a sprinkle of candied ginger.  Who says gingerbread is just for Christmas?

Pecan puffs

As my friend Lise says, “These are like angels dancing on my tongue in pecan shoes.” A gluten-free option is available.

Deluxe oatmeal chocolate-chip

A classic, all jazzed up with toffee bits, pecans and cranberries.

Sugar cookies

This ol’ standard is given a kick of orange zest, complemented by Grand Marnier royal icing. Can be designed to suit any occasion.
